<content>Let's face it, HTML sucks for writing content. Nobody likes to worry about opening and closing tags when they're just trying to write something for a webpage. Most people are used to Word. They like easy to use buttons to get bold, italics, etc. So what are your options then?

If you want a Word interface clone, you could always go with "FCKeditor":http://www.fckeditor.net/, but I personally think all those tiny buttons are just painful to look at. Sure you have all the little icons that you get with Word, but let's face it *nobody uses all those buttons anyway*.

I think a much better solution is the "widgEditor":http://www.themaninblue.com/experiment/widgEditor/ by The Man in Blue (aka Cameron Adams). It's simple and gives you only the necessary functionality. I think it's much easier to look at, and most people just seem to understand it the moment they see.

If you're looking for a nice web based text editor for a CMS I highly recommend it.</content>
